As play proceeds, you attempt to lay your hands on sources of treasure and build up stockpiles before anyone else. Treasures are found throughout the world. Your empire struggles to reach and control enough of these treasures to fill its stockpiles and make its people rich.
Empires are built with raw materials, military force and clever political intrigue. You cannot afford to ignore potential threats from other empires as you expand, but you must pay attention to your own economy if you hope to win!
The game may be won by seizing strategic treasures before anyone else, or it may be won by building up population and military might to crush those who are busy seizing treasures.
